For Immediate Release: Fort Collins, Colorado: The award-winning Fort Collins Symphony (FCS), under the direction of Maestro Wes Kenney, will dedicate its “Escape to the Dungeon” Halloween concert at 7:00 PM on October 27th, 2022 in memory of the late Angela Lansbury.
Mrs. Lansbury was best known for her role as Jessica Fletcher in the television series Murder, She Wrote and as Mrs. Potts in Beauty and the Beast. Before these, she acted on Broadway, originating roles including Mrs. Lovett in Stephen Sondheim’s Sweeney Todd.

The “Escape to the Dungeon” concert will begin and end with selections from Sweeney Todd, performed by Broadway star Patty Goble and vocalists John Lindsey, Nicole Asel, Kristi Muzzio, and Junyuan Chen.
The evening will be filled with frightening favorites from Phantom of the Opera, The Twilight Zone, Jaws, and Psycho, and classics like Toccata and Fugue in D Minor (from Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde), Danse Macabre (from Buffy the Vampire Slayer), and Funeral March of a Marionette (from Alfred Hitchcock Presents). Set to music from The Nightmare Before Christmas, Shane Sheridan with Fort Collins Ghost Tours will tell stories about ghosts who haunt Fort Collins. Members of Fort Collins Comic Con will provide ghastly surprises. And finally, who ya gonna call? Fort Collins and Loveland Ghostbusters will be on-hand with the Ectomobile to make sure any mischievous ghosts don’t get out-of-hand!
Audience members are encouraged to wear costumes. Please Note: no weapons permitted.
