The Fort Collins Symphony is offering a 10% discount on 2017-18 Season tickets to first-time subscribers who will save anywhere from $20 to $30. Now in its 68th year, the Fort Collins Symphony under the direction of award-winning Maestro Wes Kenney is offering A Season of Diversity filled with delightful surprises, engaging programs, and stunning music.
The Season kicks off on October 7, 2017 with a concert presenting a cultural assortment of pieces composed by Finnish Jean Sibelius, Polish Henryk Wieniawski, African American Adolphus Hailstork and Mexican Arturo Marquez. Japanese-American guest artist and 16-year-old virtuoso Ray Ushikubo will perform Wieniawski’s Violin Concerto No. 2.
Season ticket subscribers will experience a range of remarkable international and regional symphonic music that will carry them into the realms of the familiar and new. The Season will feature the rhythmic pulse of Chinese drums, the haunting echoes of a Native American cedar flute, the lilting draw of a French bow over a viola string, and the toe-tapping vibrancy of a Latin tango.
In addition to receiving a discount, new Season ticket holders have the opportunity to purchase tickets before they go on sale to the public on August 16, 2017. Purchasing a season ticket now ensures the subscriber will retain the same reserved seat for every fabulous performance. Season ticket subscribers—both new and returning—who are unable to attend any of the 6 concerts may turn in their tickets to the Lincoln Center as a tax deductible contribution. Season tickets may be purchased online at LCtix.com/FCS-Season-Tickets, by phone at 970.221.6730, or in person at the Lincoln Center Box Office at 417 W. Magnolia.
