The Fort Collins Symphony is offering a 25% discount on 2015-16 Season tickets to first-time subscribers who will save anywhere from $47 to $75. According to Board President Maury Dobbie, “it is our goal to give all music lovers the opportunity to attend the Legends & Legacies series of five Masterworks and one Pops concert.”
Now in its 66th year, the Fort Collins Symphony under the direction of award-winning Maestro Wes Kenney, is offering a season of delightful surprises, engaging programs, and stunning music. The Season kicks off on October 3, 2015 with a concert presenting pieces by legendary composers Ludwig Van Beethoven and Johannes Brahms. World-renowned pianist and guest artist Norman Krieger will perform the ever popular Brahms Piano Concerto No. 2. Other Season highlights include:
• Northern Colorado’s talented professional orchestra performing striking pieces composed by Bartok, Copland, Krommer, Ravel, Puts, Bloch, Shostakovich, Mendelssohn, Mahler, Barer, Britten, Gershwin, Ellington, Bruch, Rachmaninoff, and more!
• Highly acclaimed guest artists John Bruce Yeh (clarinet), Allison Eldredge (cello), and Do Phuong Nhi (violin).
• A photo-choreographed concert by Westwater Arts with a special piece including photographs of Fort Collins artfully set to music.
• Heroes, a Pops concert offering the lively music of a variety of jazz-influenced composers plus Big-Band favorites.
Season ticket subscribers—both new and returning—who are unable to attend one of the 6 concerts may turn in their tickets to the Lincoln Center as a tax deductible contribution.
