Vicki Fogel Mykles

Introduced to the arts by her family, this northern California native attended ballets, symphonies, operas, theatrical performances, museums, art exhibits, and cultural exhibitions as far back as she can remember!

Mykles holds a BA in Art from Mills College (Oakland, CA) and a M.Div. from San Francisco Theological Seminary. After serving the Presbyterian Church (USA) for more than 25 years as a pastor, district executive, and communications director, she moved into managing northern Colorado arts and educational organizations. This lateral move to the non-profit sector allowed Mykles to continue using her professional skills in organizational and volunteer management, event and project development, fundraising, grant writing, community outreach, public relations, creative writing, and high-end graphics. She served for fifteen years as the development director for Rivendell Elementary School, five years as executive director for the Larimer Chorale, and seven years as executive director for Opera Fort Collins. Currently, she is an appointed member of the City of Fort Collins Cultural Resources Board and an advisory member to the new FOCO Creates leadership group that is shaping the City’s 10-year arts and culture master plan.

For the past five years, Mykles has served as a member of the Fort Collins Symphony team as its professional communications director.  Her work includes writing, editing, graphic design, and branding. It is at once an honor and a challenge to work with the current staff to shape this excellent Symphony’s public brand and presence.
