
Rachel’s life as a musician began with violin lessons at the age of five in Colorado Springs, CO. She went on to earn her Bachelor’s Degree in Violin Performance from the University of Colorado, Boulder, where she studied with Oswald Lehnert and Judith Ingolfssohn. Since graduating in 2008, Rachel has been teaching in the Boulder area and performing across the front range of Colorado. She is a member of the Fort Collins Symphony and she has performed with The Cheyenne Symphony, The Greeley Philharmonic, The Steamboat Symphony, and the Orelia String Quartet. Rachel has toured, recorded and performed with artists Gregory Alan Isakov, Nathaniel Rateliff, and Leif Vollebekk. She has appeared on the Late Show with Stephen Colbert, the Late Late Show with James Corden and NPR’s tiny desk concert. She currently plays in the folk-americana band The River Arkansas and teaches violin and viola lessons. In addition to playing music, Rachel enjoys writing songs, gardening, cooking and spending time with family and friends.
