Originally from southeast Wisconsin, Nina Fronjian enjoys a versatile career as a violinist and music instructor in Boulder, Colorado and surrounding areas. With over ten years’ experience teaching and performing, Ms. Fronjian is dedicated to providing warm, engaging musical experiences to students and audiences. 

Ms. Fronjian began her musical training at age 6, and holds a Master of Music in violin performance from the University of Colorado at Boulder, where she served as a graduate teaching assistant and studied with Dr. Lina Bahn and Prof. Charles Wetherbee. Additionally, she holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in violin performance from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, where she was a pupil of Dr. Bernard Zinck and studied string pedagogy with Darcy Drexler of the String Academy of Wisconsin. She has extensive training in music education, specifically for young students. She is a registered Suzuki instructor and is experienced in the engaging, interactive teaching methods of notable pedagogues Mimi Zweig and Paul Rolland. She teaches violinists of all ages and levels, and is very invested in the musical growth of her students.  

As a performer, Ms. Fronjian has years of experience playing in orchestral, chamber, solo, and alternative settings, performing both historic and contemporary works across a diverse range of musical genres, from the classical canon to West African pop. As a studio musician she has recorded on numerous albums. Appearances include Gregory Alan Isakov’s touring orchestra, Denver’s DazzleJazz classical series, the Estes Park Music Festival, and as a featured soloist with the Colorado New Music Ensemble. She regularly performs with the Fort Collins Symphony, Boulder Chamber Orchestra, Sphere Ensemble, and Orquesta Tipica Natural Tango.
