Leo Thomas Canale grew up in upstate New York. He earned a Bachelor of Music in Percussion Performance from the State University of New York in Potsdam, and a Master of Music in Percussion Performance from the University of North Texas.
Leo moved to Colorado in 1999 when he joined the United States Air Force Band of the Rockies in Colorado Springs. He moved to Fort Collins in 2005 and has been performing with local orchestras including the Cheyenne Symphony and the Greeley Philharmonic. He officially joined the Fort Collins Symphony in the spring of 2012.
