 Software Engineering Business Management

Larry has 20 years of professional software development and business management within diverse environments including government contracting, non-profits, small and large corporations.  International software development and sales has been part of my experience.   Effective technical and business execution has been a key component of this success.  He has designed and developed multiple software \ hardware systems that have been installed domestically and internationally by Fortune 100 firms (including Siemens, YUM Brands and McDonalds Restaurants) , and governmental agencies (including US Department of Interior, and US Agency for International development).   Software process inventions as part of these developments resulted in 2 US patents issued, and 3 additional patents pending with his name as inventor.

He founded, managed and sold multiple technology companies.  The most notable firm is InfoAmerica, Inc which he operated as a private firm. After 6 years of profitable operation, he and his partner Paul Knight took InfoAmerica public in the Denver over-the-counter exchange, and operated it for over several  years as a public firm.  They then negotiated a reverse merger and separated the key IP and technology from the public shell.  The public shell was merged with a cable TV entity controlled by Dick Clark of “American Bandstand” fame.  Their public stockholders became part of Dick Clark’s company.  Larry and his partner rebuilt the software technology to address the self service food ordering and payment needs of the restaurant industry.  In 2005, they sold InfoAmerica to NCR Corporation.   Larry continued to provide marketing and technology management services for InfoAmerica as a wholly owned subsidiary of NCR Corporation from 2005 – 2011.

In January 2012, after the NCR’s $1.2 Billion dollar acquisition of Radiant by NCR, the InfoAmerica product and engineering team was reorganized under the Atlanta, GA headquarters of NCR.

Larry Salmen continues to provide software management and business consulting services as a LLC.
