Musical Petting Zoo bass

The Musical Zoo is an annual education event hosted by the Friends of the Symphony that provides a variety of musical entertainment for the young and the young at heart. Each year, we feature a Petting Zoo where children observe, hold, and play various instruments. Enjoy short performances by Middle School and High School students and a Grand Finale performance by the Fort Collins Symphony Orchestra.

Musical zoo ballet dancer

The 2020 Musical Zoo featured ballet dancers and two compositions by the 20th-century American composer Russell Peck. “Jack and Jill at Bunker Hill” and “Style” explored the sounds of the orchestra through stories about American History and the role of the conductor.

The Musical Zoo is usually held in early March at Timberline Church in Fort Collins, Colorado. Join us for an afternoon of incredible fun! A musical adventure for all, with activities designed especially for children 3 to 12 years, their family and friends. Volunteers needed and welcomed!
