Friends of the Symphony
Education Programs
The Friends of the Symphony’s education events provide children and adults with opportunities to expand their knowledge and appreciation of music.
Through our education events, we encourage those interested to explore music in all of its forms at the Musical Zoo and our new collaboration with the FCS to expand the Youth Education Series. An adventure of musical variety awaits, topped off with a performance by the full Fort Collins Symphony.
Developing a deeper understanding of the music can help everybody appreciate our concerts more. Learn about the composers on each concert at our Composer Talks, hosted by CSU Professor Dr. Dawn Grapes. Composer talks are usually held on the Wednesday before each Signature Concert at noon at the Old Town Library. Visit any individual concert page to confirm time, availability, and location.
Our “Meet the Artist” series provides an opportunity for music lovers to spend an informal evening to meet an FCS guest artist. Learn about their music and experience an intimate performance at a volunteer’s home or other small venues. More information on “Meet the Artist” events can be found on the individual concert page.
