Beethoven Symphony No. 5
Beethoven Fidelio Excerpts
      Featuring The Larimer Chorale
            Tami Petty, Soprano
            Tod Fitzpatrick, Baritone
            Christopher Reames, Baritone

Your Fort Collins Symphony kicks off the season with the genius of Beethoven, the composer that bridged the 18th and 19th century and ushered music from the structure of the Classic period into the emotions of the Romantic. The concert begins with what may be the most famous opening in the history of music. Beethoven created a massive move from darkness to light in his stormy Symphony No. 5. Then, Tami Petty, David Hamilton, Tod Fitzpatrick, Chris Reames and other vocal artists from Opera Fort Collins, join the Larimer Chorale and the orchestra in bringing to you excerpts from Beethoven’s classic rescue opera, Fidelio.

Immediately following the concert, join us in the Lincoln Center's Canyon West Room. We will honor Will Schwartz, our current orchestra members and 60 years of music-making in Fort Collins! Tickets only $25.
